Boogie2988 had gastric bypass surgery, still has an eating disorder

Steven Williams, the man who plays Boogie2988 on YouTube, posted on Twitter about “feeling down” so he got “sushi” for lunch.

Boogie was the recipient of gastric bypass surgery on August 1, 2017. It looks like gastric bypass surgery didn’t cure his food addiction problem. Go figure. I’ve never understood how gastric bypass surgery, essentially making your stomach the size of an old lady’s coin purse, can successfully treat an eating disorder. That’s what Boogie has, an eating disorder. Doing gastric bypass surgery on someone who overeats because of mental problems makes as much sense as doing stomach enlargement surgery on an anorexic.

Most people who get gastric bypass surgery lose weight, but then eventually gain it all back. At first, they lose weight because their stomach is too tiny to allow them to eat as much as they want. As time goes by, the stomach begins to expand, allowing them to eat more.

Is the pile of food shown in the photo even sushi? It looks so disgusting. It looks like Boogie is having soy sauce with a side of California rolls. I’ve never really considered California rolls to be true sushi. The first time I had sushi was on Okinawa, so I’m a bit of a sushi snob. I like my sushi to have only two ingredients: rice and raw tuna.

That’s not to say I don’t like California rolls if they’re made right. I don’t like them with fake crab meat or cream cheese. I also like the seaweed wrap to be on the outside of the roll, not the inside.

After seeing Boogie’s photo, I don’t know if I can eat California rolls anytime soon.

Boogie2988, staunch defender of the adult entertainment industry

Steven Williams, the man who plays Boogie2988 on YouTube, posted on Twitter about his support of the adult entertainment industry.

I wonder if he had a daughter, would he encourage her to pursue a career in the industry he has nothing but love for? Would he encourage any of his fans to pursue a career in the adult entertainment industry? An industry that is notorious for abusing the people who participate in it?

What a weirdo. No wonder Anita Sarkeesian refused to pose for a selfie with him at this past Vidcon. The two appeared together on the same panel. He probably gives off a weirdo stink that she could detect. As such a huge fan of video games, why would he even want a photo with Anita Sarkeesian?

Steven Williams, also known as Boogie2988, also known as Francis, is such a lying fake. Why more people don’t see that about him is a mystery to me.

Authorities warned well ahead of time about Nikolas Cruz

Facts are beginning to emerge about mass murderer Nikolas Cruz and how law enforcement had ample warning that the man posed a risk to society, yet did nothing to stop him.

Cruz posted a comment on YouTube saying, “Im [sic] going to be a professional school shooter.” The man who operates the YouTube channel, Ben Bennight, took a screenshot of the comment and notified YouTube. He also contacted his local FBI field office. FBI agents were unable to connect the comment to an individual even though it was posted by a user using a “nikolas cruz” Google account. Google owns YouTube.

Ben Bennight, American hero. Just because the FBI and YouTube failed to act on his information does not make him less of a hero.

This goes beyond incompetence, not only with the FBI but with YouTube. As soon as they were alerted by Ben Bennight, they should have retrieved all relative information about the user, IP address, MAC address, past comment history, email address, etc, and contacted both the FBI and the user’s local law enforcement. Ben Bennight shouldn’t have had to contact his local FBI field office. YouTube should have already done it.

Ben Bennight did everything right. Everyone else? They did everything wrong.

The police were even more incompetent than the FBI and YouTube. There are 30 incident reports going back to 2011 of their dealings with Nikolas Cruz.

From CNN:

The incident reports, which are as recent as September 2016, describe Cruz as suffering from mental illness and being “emotionally handicapped,” and being on behavioral medication. One notes, “He has mentioned in the past that he would like to purchase a firearm.”

He was still allowed to purchase an AR-15. I hate to sound like a Republican, but we don’t need more gun laws, we just need the authorities to do their jobs.

AR-15 assault weapon.

If the police properly performed their sworn duties, maybe people wouldn’t feel the need to arm themselves. Who knows, if we could count on the police to actually serve and protect, maybe we wouldn’t feel the need to own guns.

The first time someone online threatened to kill me, I didn’t know what to do. This was years ago. I knew the person’s name and where they lived. I picked up the phone and called my local police department. I explained the situation. The officer wanted me to come in and fill out a report. He said then if someone did kill me, they would know where to look.

Someone online threatens to kill you? Call your local police. If nothing else, you’ll get a good laugh and it will help break up the tension you might be feeling.

I decided not to go the police department and fill out that report. I decided to go a different route.

Boogie2988 and his roommate Chad just hanging out

The above is a screen grab taken of Steven Williams, the man who plays Boogie2988 on YouTube sitting shirtless at his computer with his loyal roommate Chad hovering in the background.

Who is Chad? He’s Steven’s roommate. The two met while playing Magic The Gathering years ago.

Steven has had Chad the roommate for years, even when he was married to now ex-wife Desiree Williams. Chad evidently gave Steven a place to live back when Steven was homeless and had nowhere else to go. Chad then later saved Steven’s life when Chad found him in bed dying from a serious infection. Chad took Steven to the hospital which allowed medical staff to cure Steven’s infection.

Steven has been indebted to Chad ever since.

Now that Steven is rolling in all that YouTube money, he’s repaying Chad by giving him a permanent place to live in his fancy YouTube house.

So why is Steven shirtless? Some on Reddit have asked that same question. My theory is that Steven and Chad just finished playing one-on-one basketball where Chad was shirts and Steven was skins. Before hitting the showers, maybe Steven wanted to check his email to see if he had any new messages from Philip DeFranco, Ethan Klein, or some other top YouTubers Steven is friends with.

What else could it be?

Why does anyone believe anything Boogie2988 says?

Steven Williams, the man who plays Boogie2988 on YouTube released a video the other day that irritated me. Not the video, but something he said in the video. He described his recent and very quick divorce with wife Desiree Williams, married in 2013, as a “messy” divorce (2 minutes, 40 seconds).

Messy divorce? Compared to… what?

From where I sit, taking in everything Steven Williams has shared with the general public about the divorce, which is a lot, his divorce has been anything but messy. In fact, his recent statement directly contradicts things he has said before.

Imagine that.

I just don’t get why people believe anything Steven Williams or any of the various fake Internet characters (Francis, Boogie2988, or Jessy) he plays on YouTube says. He’s constantly trolling for sympathy whether he deserves it or not. Too many of his fans seem to be more than willing to heap that sympathy upon him whether he deserves it or not.

It’s gross. Speaking of gross, I made the mistake of pointing this obvious falsehood out in the comment section of the video. Two of Boogie2988’s fans accused me of being a pedophile.

How was Boogie2988’s divorce messy? He’s living in the same home as he was before the divorce. He still has that creepy little dog he shared with his wife.

Sammy the dog.

He doesn’t seem to be hurting financially. It doesn’t look like he had to sell everything he owns to pay his bills. The plethora of geek junk taking up space in his studio looks to all still be there. I’m guessing his ex-wife didn’t drain his bank accounts.

Since he’s already divorced, it’s not like it dragged on for months or years in court forcing him to pay lawyers money he didn’t have. She left him and wanted a divorce last month and now they’re divorced. How can that be messy?

Steven and Desiree Williams have no children. It’s not like he has to deal with having his ex-wife remarry and replace him in his child’s life with the new husband. Steven Williams doesn’t have to ever deal with the heartache of having his own child call some other man his or her dad simply because his ex-wife didn’t want to be married to him anymore and decided she wanted to marry someone else.

When Boogie2988 says he had a messy divorce, he’s lying. The reason he’s lying is that he wants everyone to feel sorry for him. It’s the constant mode in which he operates. Feed him sympathy.

Thanks, but no thanks. When someone tells me something that I know is not true because they want to garner my sympathies, I do the complete opposite.

How Trump apologists are spinning what he said

Just when I thought Donald Trump finally dug himself into a racist hole with his golden racist shovel that even he cannot get out of, his supporters have begun trying to give the man a hand by obfuscating and conflating what he said.

For the record this is what Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States said when discussing immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African countries:

Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?

He was not referring to the countries. He was referring to the people, or as Trump said, these people.

Last night I was perusing Twitter as I often do on a Friday night and I read this Tweet written by the proprietor of Diversity & Comics, one of my favorite comic-related YouTube channels.

Richard, the man who produces Diversity & Comics, is a Republican. That’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with being a Republican. Close to half my fellow Americans are Republicans.

I guess I can understand why Richard would want to provide cover for his guy, Donald J. Trump. I just think he’s wrong. Dead wrong. He’s conflating what Trump said. Trump was speaking about “these people” not the countries they are immigrating from.

It doesn’t even make sense. Why would we even want people from non-shithole countries to immigrate here? Would they appreciate our country, its values, and the opportunities it affords if it was not as good as the country they came from?

Remember, Trump, suggested the United States should instead bring more people from countries like Norway here than from any of the so-called shithole countries. How would that even work? Can you imagine how unhappy someone from Norway would be to come here only to find out they would be required to pay for their own healthcare and education?

A robust public transportation system? A higher per capita income? These lily-white Norweigan immigrants can forget all about that.
