Tom King blocked me on Twitter

Comic book writer Tom King blocked me on Twitter

I woke up this morning, made my first cup of coffee, and began reading my Twitter feed. In other words, it was just a normal day.

What wasn’t normal was when I discovered that comic book writer Tom King blocked me. I don’t know why he would feel the need to do so. To the best of my knowledge, I didn’t do or say anything unpleasant towards the man. I consider myself a fan of his work. That is, I did until this morning. I cannot be a fan of someone who decided I was unworthy of even reading his Twitter. Evidently I was such a toxic garbage person, I don’t deserve to even read his tweets.

No tweets for you!

I can only assume that I was blocked because Tom King employed some type of blockchain app. I must follow someone who follows someone else he deemed problematic. That’s only a guess. I cannot think of anything else that would make this passive-aggressive move make any kind of logical sense.

If Tom King doesn’t want me to read his words on Twitter, he must not want me to read his words in real life too. It looks like I will be listing some Tom King comics on eBay this weekend.

I just bought two of his Batman books on Amazon, Batman: The Rebirth Deluxe Edition Book 2 and Book 3. I won’t have to sell those on eBay at a loss. No, because I just bought them, I can return them to Amazon for a full refund. So that’s what I will be doing today. All I have to do is take them to Kohl’s and I will get the $50.16 put back on my Amazon account. The Hagerstown Kohls is a dropoff spot for Amazon returns.

If I get the coronavirus while at Kohl’s I will blame Tom King for it.

I am no stranger to the pain caused when someone you like blocks you

This was not the first time I was blocked on Twitter by someone I like. I was blocked by the semi-famous social justice YouTuber Steve Shives. That also hurt my feelings, but for different reasons. Steve and I used to be e-friends before he became such a woke YouTuber. He lives near me. Early on he and I were the only Hagerstown area bloggers. I think he heard about me when I found a Nazi SS t-shirt at Walmart.

Tom King blocking me will not define me

I got back up and picked up the pieces of my life when Steve Shives blocked me. I will do it again after getting blocked by my favorite comic book writer. Make that my former favorite comic book writer.
