David Rubenstein, principal owner of the Baltimore Orioles is getting his very own bobblehead night. The first 15,000 fans through the gates at at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on 18 April, 2025 will receive a bobblehead. The Orioles will be playing the visiting Cincinnati Reds. The game starts at 4:05 PM.

Normally I’d question the decision of making a bobblehead of a team’s owner as a promotional giveaway. In this specific case, I can see the wisdom in the decision. Rubenstein saved the O’s from the clutches of the evil Angelos clan. His group purchased the team last year for $1.725 billion. Reportedly, He didn’t even use a coupon. He just paid full price.

As popular as Rubenstein is right now, he’s be even more popular if he opened his ginormous wallet and signed players like Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson to long term deals.
