Organizers of Wondercon, one of the major comic conventions in the country, announced that this year’s event has been… postponed. This from the official Wondercon website:
To protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19, the California Department of Public Health announced a recommendation that gatherings and events of more than 250 people should either be postponed or cancelled. Comic-Con (organizer of WonderCon) will abide by this recommendation. Therefore WonderCon Anaheim, scheduled for April 10-12, 2020 in Anaheim, California, will be postponed until a later date. We will begin processing refunds for badge purchases in the coming days.
I think it’s safe to say everything has been canceled (or postponed) until the CONVID-19 is in our collective rearview mirror. Who knows when that’s going to happen.
Wondercon was to take place April 10-12 in Anaheim. It’s where Disneyland is and close to Fullerton, the city in which I was born. Who knows what things will be like in April. People may be running out of toilet paper by then. Imagine the chaos that will rise forth when people lose the ability to do the needed paperwork after defecating. Scary stuff.

I’d like to go on record and say I think the COVID-19 virus really sucks. Do you know what else sucks? People who deny the severity of this lethal virus. Their stupidity will only make things worse.
