Tyler Gilbert throws no-hitter in his Major League Baseball debut

From ESPN:

Tyler Gilbert, acquired by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft only eight months ago, threw a no-hitter in the first start of his major league career on Saturday night.

I normally think no-hitters are overrated, but this one is kind of special. Tyler Gilbert, 27 years old, kicked around the minor leagues until he got his shot with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the worst team in baseball. Yes, they’re even worse than the Baltimore Orioles. Considering how the Orioles are trying to lose games, that’s really hard to do.
