Maybe you’ve heard about all the peaceful protests/riots that have been taking place in various American cities. Depending on where you live, you may have smelled the smoke. The protests are in response to the murder of George Floyd by a police officer. Even though Floyd’s killer was arrested and charged with murder, these peaceful protestors/rioters are not at all satisfied. Their constitutional right to peacefully protest and riot during a deadly pandemic will not be denied. It’s not like those police vehicles are going to peacefully burn themselves.
Stores will not peacefully loot themselves.
The only good riot is Quiet Riot
Personally, I’ve had enough with all the peaceful protest riots. Enough is enough.

Trump promises to unleash the Kraken to end the riots
Trump gave a speech in the White House Rose Garden yesterday evening. He encouraged governors to put an end to the riots. He said if they will not do it, he will do it for them.
First, we are ending the riots and lawlessness that has spread throughout our country. We will end it now. Today, I have strongly recommended to every governor to deploy the National Guard in sufficient numbers that we dominate the streets. Mayors and governors must establish an overwhelming law enforcement presence until the violence has been quelled. If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them.
If you’ve read this blog for any period of time, you probably know I have no love for Trump. I didn’t vote for him. I will not vote for him. That said, I agree with what Trump said yesterday. Last night marked the sixth straight day of these riots. They have to stop. We don’t have the luxury of allowing people to demonstrate through acts of violence just how woke they are. We get it. These peaceful protestors are against police officers murdering people. Guess what? The other 99.99% of the country agrees with you. Murder is bad.
Do you know what else murders people?
We should be concentrating on fighting the coronavirus pandemic. It’s already killed over 100,000 Americans. How about we focus on that? Until we have a vaccine, the only way to fight the virus is to practice social distancing and wearing masks.
When I look at images from these riots, I’m not seeing a lot of social distancing going on. Mask use appears to be at around 50%.
I see a lot of people yelling. When you yell, you expel droplets from your mouth that can travel through the air much further than droplets expelled by talking. When people yell, a six-foot distance is not nearly enough. People at these peaceful protests are getting very close to one another. I imagine many of them will be sick with coronavirus very soon.
I hope those free Air Jordans were worth it.
