Logan Paul threatens to sue Rattle Pokemon

Canadian YouTuber Rattle Pokemon (government name Michael Barristo) posted a video today announcing that a law firm claiming to represent Logan Paul sent him a cease-and-desist letter. It concerns a video Barristo posted six days ago titled, “Is Logan Paul’s Ripit Another SCAM Like Liquid Marketplace, Cryptozoo & Dink Doink?”

The law firm, Neiman Mays Floch & Almeida, claims the video contains defamatory content about Logan Paul. They demand he remove the video by 6 March 2026. If he fails to comply, they will initiate litigation against him.

Rattle Pokemon is not alone. Logan Paul is threatening lawsuits against others who have accused him of being a “scammer.”

Rattle Pokemon has been sued before

Two years ago, Rattle Pokemon was sued by Best Vintage Cards, LLC, and entrepreneur Sean Bassik for defamation. He had to start a GoFundMe to raise money for his legal defense. If memory serves, he also had to sell his 1999 first edition Charizard card from his personal collection.

The case never went to trial. Both parties agreed to settle the lawsuit out of court. Terms were never released.

Does Rattle Pokemon want to get sued again?

I was surprised to see yesterday’s video show up in my feed. I would have thought the other lawsuit would have soured Rattle Pokemon from ever going through that again. The fact that he didn’t delete the offending video and instead made a video about it indicates he didn’t learn anything from his prior lawsuit experience. Having to beg for money and sell part of your collection to pay legal fees sounds terrible. If I ever experienced that, I would do things in the future to ensure I never had to go through any of it again.

In conclusion

The stakes are considerably higher this time around for Rattle Pokemon. Logan Paul has significantly more money than Best Vintage Cards and Sean Bassik had two years ago. Money is the lifeblood of any lawsuit. Logan Paul is a multi-millionaire. Michael Barristo is not.

Being the Pokémon community’s number one video pretend muckraker doesn’t pay that well.
