President Donald Trump ordered the U.S. military to attack three nuclear sites in Iran on June 22, 2025. The sites included the following:
- Fordow: hit by 12 GBU‑57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bunker-buster bombs dropped by B‑2 Spirit stealth bombers.
- Natanz: struck by 2 bunker-busters and additional Tomahawk cruise missiles.
- Isfahan: also hit by Tomahawk missiles and smaller munitions.
For a country not developing nuclear weapons, Iran sure has a lot of nuclear weapon research facilities.
The MAGA peaceniks are not happy
I’m told some in the MAGA community are upset Donald Trump authorized military strikes against Iran. They say Trump promised not to get the United States in any (more) foreign wars. To that I would say they should not be surprised if Trump doesn’t keep his promise. First of all, the phrase “Trump promised” should give anyone pause. Trump is a known liar. The man is constantly lying. I’m not even sure it’s his fault. He’s a former real estate developer and reality TV personality. He then became a politician. None of these areas of employment attract people known for their truthfulness.
Second of all, Donald Trump is on record that he will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. He said so in his famous escalator speech ten years ago. It’s when he first announced he would run for president.
I will find — within our military, I will find the General Patton or I will find General MacArthur, I will find the right guy. I will find the guy that’s going to take that military and make it really work. Nobody, nobody will be pushing us around.
I will stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. And we won’t be using a man like Secretary Kerry that has absolutely no concept of negotiation, who’s making a horrible and laughable deal, who’s just being tapped along as they make weapons right now, and then goes into a bicycle race at 72 years old, and falls and breaks his leg. I won’t be doing that. And I promise I will never be in a bicycle race. That I can tell you.
I forgot about Trump’s promise to find the new General Patton or a new General MacArthur. Luckily for us, he was able to find the modern day equivalent of both military geniuses.
He found them both by looking in the mirror.

Donald Trump may have broken his promise not to get the United States in any (more) foreign wars. That’s for the experts to figure out. I didn’t think Iran counted. We’ve nearly been in a semi-constant war with Iran since they invaded our embassy and took Americans hostage. I know I have.
Let’s not focus on that promise. Instead, it’s focus on the promise he made about not competing in any bicycle races. I think he’s kept his word on that.
Why can’t his MAGA supporters just focus on that?
