The NFL team that plays its home games in Landover, Maryland, released second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Considering that the team drafted Haskins last year with the 15th overall pick, I’m not really surprised.
This is the kind of move a bad organization would make.
Dwayne Haskins may be a bad player. I don’t know. I have not watched a second of the team formerly known as the Washington Redskins this year. The thing is, Haskins is only 23 years old. The team used a first-round pick on him. They must have seen something in him they liked. If Haskins was not living up to his playing potential, then that’s a coaching problem.
I know he went to a strip club and hung out with prostitutes after last week’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. That was a pretty stupid thing to do. Then again, Haskins is 23 years old. He’s not fully grown up yet.
Dwayne Haskins’ time with the team formally known as the Washington Redskins is over. I don’t think that means his time in the NFL is over too.
