Sell a Russell Wilson baseball card, get a threatening email from University of Wisconsin

The University of Wisconsin is sending threatening emails to anyone selling or trying to sell a 2010 Russell Wilson baseball card. The reason? Because though Wilson was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2010 and played professional baseball for the Class-A Asheville Tourists, he’s now the starting quarterback for the Wisconsin Badgers.

People selling 2010 Russell Wilson cards on eBay are supposedly receiving threatening emails from Katie Smith, director of compliance at the University of Wisconsin, demanding that the eBay listing be removed.

This just makes me want to get my hands on a Russell Wilson card. Speaking of hands, it’s nice to see that Wilson doesn’t wear batting gloves. Good for him. I think batting gloves are stupid. Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Reggie Jackson and thousands of other players didn’t wear gloves. If these greats of the game didn’t wear gloves, why should anyone today wear them? Current players seem to wear them just so they can step out of the box and adjust them after every pitch.

  1. Get a life. This young man had an issue with his coach @ NC St. What happened is between them. Grow up. Who are you to judge anyone?
