As if 2020 wasn’t awful enough, President Donald Trump went to Twitter last night to announce that he and his wife both tested positive for COVID-19.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

Now that Donald Trump has COVID-19, is it OK that he calls it the “China Virus”?
Even though I’m not a Trump supporter, I think this news is terrible. I didn’t vote for him. I will not vote for him on November 3. That said, Donald Trump is still my President.
The first thing I thought of when I read the news is that President Trump is 74 years old. He’s also over-weight. Advanced age and obesity are high-risk accelerators when it comes to COVID-19.
I imagine both candidates were tested for COVID-19 before Tuesday’s debacle of a debate. That leads me to believe Trump didn’t have the coronavirus the night of the debate. Joe Biden most likely didn’t get COVID-19 from Trump.
How will the Biden campaign respond to Donald Trump having COVID-19?
I think it will be interesting to see how Joe Biden and his campaign will react to the news. Will they take a break from attacking Trump as white supremacist adjacent? Who knows. I’m sure the man will do whatever his handlers tell him to do.
I cannot wait for 2020 to finally be over. It’s by far the worst year in my 56 trips around the Sun.
