There are times when driving for Uber a passenger enters the wrong destination. Instead of trying to walk them through how they can change it, it’s easier to change it yourself in the Uber driver’s app. Here’s how to do it.
1. Click on the black bar at the top of the screen of the Uber driver’s app
2. Click on the pencil icon on the final destination
3. Enter the new final destination
As soon as you begin typing, the app will give you destinations to choose based on what you’ve entered so far. The more you type, the more specific the available destinations become.
Once an address appears that matches the one you need, select it. The destination will then update and you will be returned to the main screen.
That’s it. It doesn’t get much easier. Before I realized how to do this, passenger’s would hand me their phone and ask me to do it for them. I didn’t like to do that because I didn’t want to handle their phone. Plus, it’s not like I’m an expert on using the Uber passenger app. I use it to see where other drivers in my area. I’ve only taken one Uber ride in my life and I didn’t do anything advanced like changing my destination.
Speaking of destinations, I will now leave you with one of my favorite songs from the early 80s. Destination Unknown by Missing Persons.
