Twitter permanently banned Donald Trump from their platform. This is what Twitter had to say about it:
After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.
Donald Trump indeed used Twitter to incite violence. I don’t understand why it took Twitter this long to ban Trump. For weeks now, he went to Twitter to claim the election was fraudulent. He claimed he won the election, not Joe Biden. The only fraud relating to the 2020 presidential election was his constant, baseless claims that he won.
Donald Trump used Twitter to stage an insurrection
He used Twitter to urge his MAGA followers to go to the “Save America” rally in Washington D.C. on January 6. Once there, Trump lied to the crowd about voter fraud that didn’t exist. He then urged them to walk to the U.S. Capitol to save the country. What happened next is history.
I would not at all be surprised if Trump pardoned everyone who forced their way into the Capitol. Even the ones who murdered a U.S. Capitol Police officer.
I look forward to when Donald Trump is no longer the president. It cannot happen soon enough. I wish his cabinet would invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him from office. Republicans in the House have begun drafting articles of impeachment. That will take too long. Until he leaves office, he can pardon anyone he wants to. He also can order a nuclear weapons strike anywhere he wants to.
If you’re 100 percent sure Donald Trump wouldn’t order a nuclear strike against Iran on his final day of office, you haven’t been paying attention.
Donald Trump needs to leave the White House, and he needs to leave now.
