COVID-19 is not a ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated’

When you hear someone from the Biden Administration say that COVID-19 is a “pandemic of the unvaccinated,” it’s a lie. It’s not true. It’s propaganda aimed at getting more Americans vaccinated.

I’m all for getting more Americans vaccinated. I don’t want the government engaging in false information campaigns to make that goal a reality. The truth is, getting fully vaccinated for COVID-19 does not mean you are safe from getting the disease. It doesn’t mean you will not die from COVID-19.

COVID-19 is not like polio or smallpox.

From NBC News:

Nationwide, the CDC has tracked more than 4,000 cases of fully vaccinated people being hospitalized with symptoms of Covid as of July 19, up 9 percent from the week earlier. The agency said a total of 849 vaccinated people have died, including 58 the week of July 12, according to data reported to the CDC by local health departments.

I wonder what the families of the 849 people who were fully vaccinated yet died from COVID-19 think when they hear President Joe Biden or Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeat the lie that COVID-19 is a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”

COVID-19 is still a serious problem. Even though I’m fully vaccinated, I still take the necessary precautions. I wear a KN-95 mask when I’m around other people. I still practice social distancing. I do what I have to do to make sure I don’t get infected.
