I have discovered a new sure proof way of buying an authentic, non-fake Mitchell & Ness throwback jerseys: buy them directly from the company.

Want to buy non-authentic, fake jerseys? All you have to do is go to eBay and search for Mitchell & Ness. In my experience, most jerseys found on eBay are as fake as trickle-down economics or Dave the Uber Slave’s hair color.

Mitchell & Ness is constantly having sales

One of the great things about the Mitchell & Ness website is it almost continuously has promos and sales. For example, beginning yesterday and ending today, they have a 30% off and free two-day shipping promo. The promo can be applied to anything, even clearance items. As someone who is well versed in clearance shopping, I can say is not always the case. Clearance items are almost always excluded from promos.

Because of this promo, I was able to get this long-sleeve, stitched Peyton Manning Indianapolis Colts jersey for only $48.98. That includes tax and two-day shipping.

I am not even a Colts fan

One of the best parts of not having a favorite NFL team is that I can wear gear from just about any team. If I find a hat or a jersey I like, I can buy it and wear it without running afoul with my favorite team. That will never happen. I don’t have a favorite team. Not anymore. No NFL team owns my allegiance. It’s liberating.

Although I don’t have a favorite NFL team, I do have teams I dislike. For example, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I don’t like the Bucs. That said if I can find a retro Buccaneers hat to fit my enormous head (7 7/8), I would buy it.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers hat. Who doesn’t like a gay pirate?

The hat is so ugly, it’s kind of cool looking. As with most teams, the older colors and logo for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are better than the current colors and logo. That’s not just my opinion. It’s a scientific fact. It’s something that has withstood the rigors of peer review. At least I think it has.
