Take away Romney’s ability to lie, he really doesn’t have much

I didn’t watch last night’s presidential debates, but this seems to be the clip that has Republican/s underwear in a bunch. At least the ones I’m friends with on Facebook. It pertains to the attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya that left four Americans dead, including ambassador Chris Stevens. Here’s the clip:

I guess Mitt Romney has been pushing the lie that Barack Obama didn’t refer to the attack in Benghazi as terrorism until two weeks after the attack. In reality, Obama referred to it as an act of terror the following day. Some Republicans are upset that the debate moderator Candy Crowley would dare to inject a bit of fact checking into the debate. Romney looked shocked by Crowley’s words. It looked like he wasn’t expecting anyone to call him out on his lie. Not that I can really blame him. He’s been saying inaccurate and untrue statements for quite a while, it’s got to be shocking for him to be actually called on it.

To be honest, as far as Romney’s lies go, this isn’t really that important. Call it whatever you want, the fact remains that four Americans are dead.

Romney also isn’t used to being called out when lying and fact checked by women. He also isn’t used to being told to sit down by women. That moment was priceless.
