While touring a Chrysler car plant in Detroit, Michigan, Barack Obama used a sexist slur while giving a reporter — who happened to be female — the dust off. Reporter Peggy Agar dared to ask Barry a question on how he was planning to help American auto workers. It’s never a good idea to ask Barry for specifics.

From BBC News:

Mr Obama said: “Hold on one second, sweetie” and did not answer.

He later left a message for Ms Agar saying it was a “bad habit” and he “meant no disrespect”.

Ms Agar told the Detroit News: “I’ve been called worse.”

At least she didn’t tell Ms Agar to go home, take her shoes off, make some babies, and fix her husband his supper. It’s not just a “bad habit”. Smoking is a bad habit.

Sexism is not a habit.

Howard Dean is a big fat idiot

Howard Dean is a big fat idiot

Former Vermont governor, failed presidential candidate, and current Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean has issued an ultimatum of sorts to Democratic superdelegates; he wants them to decide now who they will be voting for at the Democratic National Convention in August.

He wants to lock down the Democratic nominee as soon as possible.

And I thought Doctor Dean was a stickler for keeping to a schedule. He disenfranchised Democrats in both Florida and Michigan because both states dared to hold their primaries before Dean said they could.

He can’t have it both ways. He can’t penalize the voters in Florida and Michigan because they supposedly voted early and then demand that superdelegates do the very same thing by declaring who they plan on voting for in August.

Michael George faces more charges

The prosecutor in Michigan is charging Pittsburgh Comicon organizer and comic book retailer Michael George with new charges.

George, 47 — who is accused in the slaying of his 32-year-old wife, Barbara, in his Clinton Township store — faces two new charges: insurance fraud and obtaining money under false pretenses.

“The proofs will show that nothing was taken,” said Macomb County Assistant Prosecutor Steve Kaplan.

He acknowledged that the murder charge is more pressing, but he said that George received $13,000 in insurance money.

George reported that two boxes of valuable comics were stolen from a back storage room during his wife’s murder. The police now contend that no comics were missing and that George simply made the whole thing up to receive insurance money and to make the police believe that the his wife’s murder was the result of a robbery gone bad.
