Zbigniew Brzezinski insults Joe Scarborough’s knowledge of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict

I stayed home from work yesterday with the the bird flu. That meant I was able to watch more than the first couple of minutes of Joe Scarborough’s Morning Joe. The show featured Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Security Adviser to President Jimmy Carter and the father of Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski.

In the interview Zbigniew Brzezinski insulted Joe Scarborough’s knowledge of the failed 2000 Camp David Summit and the reason it failed by telling Scarborough that, “You know, you have such a stunningly superficial knowledge of what went on that it’s almost embarrassing to listen to you.” Jump ahead to the 06:45 mark to listen to the statement.

When will Sarah Palin sit down for an interview?

If you thought the McCain campaign would quickly get Sarah Palin out on the Sunday morning talk show circuit to explain in her own words why she should be our vice president, you thought wrong. In fact, she might never sit down and answer questions from a reporter.  That’s what McCain campaign strategist Rick Davis told Joe Scarborough on yesterday’s MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

I’m somewhat surprised by this.  One of Sarah Palin’s many qualifications for vice president is that she won Miss Congeniality in a 1984 Miss Alaska competition.  The dictionary defines the word congenial as having a “pleasant disposition” and being “friendly and sociable”.

It doesn’t sound very sociable to me to refuse sit down with a reporter and answer questions.
