U.S. Representative Roscoe Bartlett is getting out of having public town hall meetings on health care reform and is instead holding private invite-only “tele-town halls” with registered voters in the Maryland 6th District.

Maryland congressman Roscoe Bartlett is using modern technology to open up his town hall meetings on health care reform to virtually every 6th District household.

Supposedly his office is calling every registered voter in district who has a telephone to invite them to one of these stupid things.

I’m not at all surprised that Roscoe Bartlett would do something like this. Not that he has anything to worry about when it comes to the typical person who attends these health care town hall meetings to yell at their elected officials.

The birther and the TEA bagger is what you would call his base. He is their kind of people.

Though I’m a registered voter, I’m registered as a Democrat and Bartlett does not like Democrats. In fact he once referred to Democrats as “the enemy.” I also don’t have an old style land-line phone. We went cellular years ago and never looked back.

I’m not even sure if Bartlett knows about cellular phones.

One of the biggest problems with Bartlett holding these stupid “tele-town halls” is that he doesn’t just represent registered voters. He represents all Americans living in the Maryland 6th District whether they are registered to vote or not.
