I really feel bad for British actor Robert Pattinson. The thespian made famous for playing Edward the vampire in the Twilight series recently discovered in a very public way that his Twilight co-star and real-life girl friend Kristen Stewart cheated on him while she was filming the movie Snow White and the Huntsman. Evidently she was cheating on him with the movie’s director, Rupert Sanders.
Stewart felt so bad about the affair that she released a press release announcing her deep sorrow for causing so much hurt and embarrassment to Pattinson. Not to be outdone, Sanders released his own statement expressing his sorrow. Yes, because nothing makes up for cheating on your significant other like issuing a press release announcing how bad you feel.
As bad as Stewart comes off in this, the worst is Sanders. He’s married and has two children. His wife is actress Liberty Ross, who played Stewart’s mother in Snow White and the Huntsman.
Pattinson and Stewart were together for over three years. Reportedly he’s moved out of the Los Angeles home the two shared together. The next and final Twilight movie is scheduled for worldwide release in November. That means Pattinson and Stewart will be required to spend a lot of time doing publicity, promoting the movie.
Talk about uncomfortable.
The Twilight movie franchise will probably be Pattinson’s greatest professional achievement. He wont be able to look back at the time he spent playing Edward, entertaining his millions of fans, without having to think about co-star Kristen Stewart and what she did to him.
I really feel bad for him.
