Prepare thyself for ‘premium’ Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition rulebooks
Wizards of the Coast, makers of the Magic The Gathering collectible card game and current owner of all things Dungeons & Dragons will be releasing special premium versions of the 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rulebooks. The books, the Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, and Monster Manual, will feature new cover art and have a premium binding. Each book will have a suggested retail price of $49.99 and are scheduled for release sometime in May.
The original Advanced Dungeons & Dragons books were republished in a similar premium format last year.
I played a lot of 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons back in the late 80’s while stationed on Guam. I discovered first-hand that a person can scuba dive only so much until it gets kind of boring.
I don’t have any of my old D&D stuff anymore and I’ve occasionally thought about acquiring replacements on eBay, not to actually play D&D again, but for the nostalgia. These books may be something I end up getting.
