The website Coming Soon has some photos taken on the set of the new Robocop movie. If you’re a fan of the first Robocop movie like I am, I’m sure you’ll find the design of the new Robocop costume to be a terrible abomination.
It looks like a cross between Movie Batman sans cape and the those fancy suits in that terrible G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra movie that allowed anyone wearing them to fly around like missiles. What it doesn’t look like is the classic Robocop costume, which is a real shame.
If I was the type of person that allowed myself to become offended, this terrible looking Robocop costume would offend me.
I love the original Robocop costume. I don’t even “like” this. I absolutely hate it. How can you make a Robocop movie with a Robocop costume that doesn’t even look like Robocop? This is as stupid as making a Godzilla move with a Godzilla that doesn’t even look like Godzilla.
Hopefully Middle Eastern muslims aren’t particularly big fans of the original ‘Robocop’ or this could put them over the edge.
