Microsoft granted patent for ‘avoid the ghetto’ GPS technology
If you’d like a smart phone that will keep you clear of the ghetto, than it looks as though you are going to need to purchase a phone that has the Microsoft operating system. The reason? Because Microsoft has been awarded a patent on technology that plots trips for pedestrians to avoid unsafe neighborhoods. In other words, it will keep pedestrians from accidentally venturing into The Ghetto.
I hate when that happens. You find yourself in a new city and decide to take a walk and explore. Next thing you know, you are in a run-down part of the city. Cars are up on cinder blocks. The sidewalk is littered with broken crack vials. You don’t know where you are or how you got there. You’re in this situation because, like a big dummy, you bought an iPhone or an Android smart phone. You chose to purchase a smart phone without live saving, ghetto avoidance technology.
Sucks to be you.
