I will no longer feel bad about getting myself tattooed when I was young and dumb. Well, more dumb then I am now. It’s clear to me that I could have done a lot worse. Here is a photo of a girl who had her ears surgically altered to make them pointed like the ears of an Elf. Or a Vulcan. After visiting her MySpace page, I’m guessing she was going for Elf and not Mr. Spock’s red-headed cousin.
And don’t think for a minute that an actual surgeon did this hack job. No, a Body Modification “artist” did the deed.
If she wanted to be an Elf, couldn’t she just play World of Warcraft? That’s what I did when I felt like being an Undead Priest. I was not about to let some dork cut on me.

In this photo taken in 2006 and released on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, by U.S. scientist S. Blair Hedges, an evolutionary biologist at Penn State University, the globe’s tiniest snake is shown curled up on a U.S. quarter. Hedges said Sunday he has discovered the globe’s tiniest species of snake in the easternmost Caribbean island of Barbados, with full-grown adults typically less than four inches (10 centimeters) long. He named the diminutive snake “Leptotyphlops carlae” after his herpetologist wife, Carla Ann Hass.
So the guy that discovers this snake names it after his wife? Not his ex-wife, but to the woman he is currently married to? I would think the guy’s wife wouldn’t be too pleased that a certain type of snake was named after her.
Not only is this snake really small, it seems to be rather fond of money. Just what exactly is it doing to that quarter?

This is only one of the photos from the flickr photoset “…the life of vader“. I’ve never been very good at interpreting art. That goes double for dork art. Not that I’m even sure this is art.

To celebrate the release of The Walking Dead #50, a man had his entire body inked to look like he is a zombie. OK, it has nothing to to with The Walking Dead, but would it be any less retarded if it did? I don’t think so.
Follow the link and see a lot more photos. Sadly, missing from the images is a photo of his parents with the look of pride on their faces. I’d like to see that.

Takayuki Furuta has a dream. He wants to help promote the field of robotics to children and he thinks the best way to do it is to built a full sized, fully working Gundam. He has crunched the numbers and he thinks it will only cost a mere $742 million. Go here to see the actual blueprints.
I don’t know about the kids, but the thought of seeing one of these bad boys walking down the street appeals to me.
