Judge throws out Lori Drew MySpace cyberbully convictions

Lori Drew, the Missouri mother that posed as a teenage boy on MySpace and perpetrated a hoax on a neighbor’s teenage daughter that resulted in the girl committing suicide, is getting her earlier convictions thrown out. From the Associated Press (via MSNBC):

U.S. District Judge George Wu said he was tentatively acquitting Lori Drew of misdemeanor counts of accessing computers without authorization.

Drew was convicted in November, but the judge said that if she is to be found guilty of illegally accessing computers, anyone who has ever violated the social networking site’s terms of service would be guilty of a misdemeanor.

“You could prosecute pretty much anyone who violated terms of service,” he said. The judge, who had delayed the ruling repeatedly, reminded participants that it is only a tentative ruling until he files it in writing.

How about you only prosecute those who violate the terms of service when someone dies as a result of their act?

It’s as though a long time ago we all agreed that it was OK to lie, cheat, mislead, humiliate, and harass someone as long as it was “only” done on the Internet.

Why is that?

Lori Drew knew she was doing something wrong when she went on MySpace pretending to be a teenage boy. She created the fake persona for the sole purpose of humiliating Megan Meier.

Lori Drew’s final message to Megan Meier said that the world would be better without her. Megan Meier hung herself shortly after that. A coincidence?

Hardly.

I almost LOL’d at the comment on HLN that said, “I hope Lori Drew can live with herself”. That woman has no scruples or morals and is probably laughing her butt off because she actually got away with “assisted suicide”. Maybe people should throw stones at her whenever they see her. What a PIG! She’s the scum of the earth and if I had the misfortune to run into her, I wouldn’t keep my mouth shut and would probably spit on her!

How can she go one living a breathing with herself? She murdered that child’s future, she killed her parent’s love with twisted words that made her laugh like temporary insanity maniac that she is. I’m being kind. Nail that badge on her. Keep her away from humans under 18 and schools (she has to move). Keep her away from computers(out of work).
I like the idea of “assisted suicide” like Dr. Kavorkian!! HE had a hand in killing people, so did this B!$(#… with her hands on the keyboard.. directly…
I just hope that whatever this crazy California judge decides… another lawsuit comes up for a wrongful death lawful death lawsuit. It is clearly HER FAULT this sweet child killed herself!! She would NOT have done this if that B!@##$ hadn’t typed what she typed!!

Hard to understand she would be not held accountable, what is wrong with an old middle aged hag to do something like this?? I hope everyone that ever meets her treats her like the scum she is. I hope she enjoys the hell she is going to and I hope she lives in hell while she is here on earth, nothing can be too bad for this low life.!!! May everyone that has to deal with her treat her accordingly to the low life scum bag that she is.
