United States Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-Md) spoke with Heather Keels from the Herald-Mail in a video interview. Senator Mikulski bragged about an amendment to the stimulus bill she proposed along with Republican Senators that allows people to deduct state sales tax and the interest on auto loans for new “cars” purchased from November 12, 2008 through December 31, 2009.
Not a tax credit for people who buy a more fuel efficient car or maybe a car that incorporates hybrid technology. No, in fact, it doesn’t even have to actually be a “car”. People who purchase gas guzzling SUVs or trucks get the tax break too.
She also states that she is planning on running for reelection in 2010. Of course she is.
