Tina Fey as Sarah Palin in VP Debate

Former Saturday Night Live head writer returned to the show last night to once again play the part of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Even though she is a tree hugging liberal like me, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tina Fey secretly wanted McCain to win next month. Not only as a millionaire would she be getting a massive cut under a McCain presidency, she would never have to worry about not having anything to do on a Saturday night.

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin is comedy gold.

  1. Usually when SNL attempts to “spoof” someone famous by having one of its cast members attempt to imitate them, without putting any particular humorous spin or adding any insight, I find it lazy and boring (like Fred Armissen’s Obama), but the real Palin is so ridiculous already that all Fey has to do is turn her imitation up just a smidge and it’s brilliant.

I remember when Phil Hartman was still playing Bill Clinton on SNL (and, I should also mention, alive), he appeared on The Tonight Show and Leno asked him who he was going to vote for in the next election. Hartman smiled and said, “Well, job security, Jay . . .” So you might be on to something.

Of course, Tina Fey has been quoted as saying “I want to be done playing this lady on November 5,” so maybe the tax cut isn’t worth it after all. I sure as hell wouldn’t think so.

What frightens me is that from time to time, I can’t tell who is who. Tina does a better Sarah than Sarah herself sometimes.

i had a quick thought in scoping out your lil sight, and it was…”this man has a job? and a wife?” holy crap how do you find the time to make a good living and be there for your wife (fully) when you are posting out the wang on here and this is just one of 5 sites! granted you did however warn on lookers that it is your thoughts on dumb topics, but if the topics are so dumb how are you just so full of all of this worthless random jargen…not something to be proud of i would think! you seem to have some smarts to attempt to be on the right track with your thinking but then you blow it out of the water and your stupid begins to show! hey i know you should run for president im sure your mother would be proud!

talking is great, but not with out thinking…. thinking is an exceptional thing to do as well i commend you… however doing is far better than both! it shows who you really are… hence those church sermons you speak of hating in a previous post of yours. doing shows where your heart is and where your priorities lay, kinda like put your money where your mouth is! and same for what you say… “out of the mouth the heart speaks.” i know your heart by reading all of this… so keep thinking it may be a good thing for us all! where is your life???

  13. @long duck dong:

i know your heart by reading all of this

Can you tell me anything about any of my other internal organs? How’s my pancreas doing?

I hate to bother you Mr. Dong, but it’s not often I get someone as intelligent as you leaving comments on my blog.

Writing a blog about random thoughts: Funny
Writing petty insults to the author after spending the afternoon reading his entire blog: Funnier
Bitching about the author wasting time, then coming back to respond to every subsequent comment in said author’s defense: MOAR AWSOMR LULZ!1!

Long Duck Dong, thank you for putting Country First. :)

thats refreshing to hear, i was getting a little worried!

  24. Take in easy on the Donger. It’s pretty obvious English is his second language- I’m sure I’d sound retarded trying to speak his language.

  25. @Schooly: I think retard is his native language.
