Simple: To stave the bleeding from Obama's dramatic West Virginia loss.  Getting the self-proclaimed champion of the Blue Collar class to endorse Obama stops the "Hilary Won" storyline in its tracks and sweeps it under the rug, which the Obama shills in the media desperately want to do.

Plus, the guy's probably angling for VP...not that Obama will pick him, but hope springs eternal, right?</description>
