If you were watching the mainstream news media tonight, you would have thought Hillary Clinton placed the bloody head of a dead race horse in Barack Obama’s bed.

Surprise, surprise, something Hillary Clinton said is being blown out of proportion. Larry Johnson of NO QUARTER once again nails it:

Wow. Why is it that women get the rap for being a bunch of hysterical whiners, when guys like Senator Obama and his staff are the ones going all wobbly? I’m referring to the latest effort of the Obama crowd to manufacture an incident out of Senator Clinton’s comment that she is staying in the race because we know from history that the reality in June is not the reality in August. Senator Clinton noted in passing the historic fact that Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed in California in June of 1968 and that changed what happened at the convention. She also commented that her husband had not wrapped up the nomination until June.

As if she even needs to explain why she is still in the race.

The point is things change. History shows that. Who knows what will happen before August. The pulpit humping Rev. Jeremiah Wright might say something that can’t be smoothed over with a fancy speech. The jury is literally still out in the Tony Rezco corruption trial. More information might come out concerning Obama’s friend and unrepentant terrorist William Ayers. Thanks to the fact that the mainstream news media has never properly vetted their favorite candidate, a lot can transpire before August.

Once again, I defer to Larry Johnson:

This much is certain–neither Barack nor Hillary have won enough votes in elections and caucuses to be nominated. The outcome now depends on Super Delegates. And Super Delegates ought to make their decision on who gives the Democrats the best chance to win against McCain. If you think things are set in stone and nothing will change before the convention, then you live in a fantasy world.

I’ve come to the conclusion that many of my fellow Democrats do indeed live in a fantasy world. And not the kind with wizards, orcs, or hobbits either.
