When Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul proclaimed that Abraham Lincoln started the American Civil War, maybe he wasn’t talking about the same Abraham Lincoln everyone assumed he was talking about.
Maybe he was talking about Star Trek Abraham Lincoln.
Abraham Lincoln is one of our most beloved presidents. Star Trek Abraham Lincoln on the other hand can be a real asshole. I wouldn’t put it past Star Trek Abraham Lincoln to start a war. Can you say with unwaivering certainty that Star Trek Abraham Lincoln did not cause the American Civil War?
I didn’t think so.
I don’t trust Star Trek Abraham Lincoln. I never have. There is a reason the Red Shirts in the above photo have their phasers aimed squarely on Star Trek Abraham Lincoln. If there is one thing Red Shirts know is taking the proper precautions to be safe and secure. If you ever find yourself in an Away Team to some strange alien planet, stick close to the guys in the red shirts. They will keep you safe. At least the ones assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise.
I have no doubt those phasers are set to Kill and not Stun. You cannot mess around when it comes to Star Trek Abraham Lincoln.
I may have to rethink my opinion on Ron Paul. If he is against Star Trek Abraham Lincoln, he can’t be all that bad. That doesn’t mean I would vote for him or put one of his stupid signs in my yard. One would have to be nutty as a suger-free fruitcake to do something like that.

/ December 27, 2007Just think, if Ron Paul didn’t make any comments regarding his feelings over the Civil War, you’d have nothing to blog about.
Out of all the horrible candidates (Ron Paul included), filled with scandals, lies, deception and so on, you focus your energy on Ron Paul and what he said about the Civil War?
I wouldn’t vote for him in a million years, but you’re obviously desperate to smear Ron Paul and picking apart his views on a war that happened over 150 years ago is laughable.

/ December 27, 2007What can I say, I’ve got the day off and I find the cult of Ron Paul extremely entertaining. Especially when he does something kooky like talk about slavery and putting blame on the Civil War at the feet of Lincoln.
I’m hoping that he will hit the campaign trial dressed as a confederate Civil War general. That would be hilarious. Something like that may seem impossible, but I heard him this morning call into question the bravery of an actual recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
When it comes to Ron Paul doing something stupid, there is no limit.

/ December 27, 2007If this is so insignificant to you, Matt, why post here?
I find Rick’s blog posts fun to read. I don’t always agree with him, but I don’t question his motives. Do you really think he’s just desperate to “smear” some candidate that, in reality, has no chance of winning the Presidential race?
If you haven’t noticed, it’s hilarious to interact with ardent Ron Paul supporters. And Ron Paul himself is so ridiculous, how can one pass up the opportunity to comment?

/ December 27, 2007That’s right, Licoln shouldn’t have killed Americans. This is the ReAL ENEMY in the Civile War.
The Illustrated University History, 1878, p. 504, tells us that the southern states swarmed with British agents. These conspired with local politicians to work against the best interests of the United States. Their carefully sown and nurtured propaganda developed into open rebellion and resulted in the secession of South Carolina on December 29, 1860. Within weeks another six states joined the conspiracy against the Union, and broke away to form the Confederate States of America, with Jefferson Davis as President.
The plotters raided armies, seized forts, arsenals, mints and other Union property. Even members of President Buchanan’s Cabinet conspired to destroy the Union by damaging the public credit and working to bankrupt the nation. Buchanan claimed to deplore secession but took no steps to check it, even when a U.S. ship was fired upon by South Carolina shore batteries.
History reveals that the Rothschilds were heavily involved in financing both sides in the Civil War. Lincoln put a damper on their activities when, in 1862 and 1863, he refused to pay the exorbitant rates of interest demanded by the Rothschilds and issued constitutionally-authorized, interest free United States notes. For this and other acts of patriotism Lincoln was shot down in cold-blood by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865, just five days after Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomattox Court House, Virginia.

You, sir, are a nut.

/ December 27, 2007Other candidates in the race might be more “horrible” than Ron Paul, but I can’t think of one nearly as goofy or kooky or gigantically odd. I bet Kucinich gets up every morning grateful as hell that Paul’s in the race, because it takes the heat off of him. Finally, Kucinich, the guy who publicly admitted to believing in alien UFO visitations, knows what its like to look around the bus, actually see the weirdo onboard, and know with great relief that it isn’t him this time.
If Ron Paul doesn’t want Rick writing smartass blogs about him, he should be less of a weirdo conspiracy theorist nut-bar.
