My high school music teacher was from West Virginia, and he was pretty cool. Especially when he'd grow unreasonably furious at the sound of someone tearing paper out of a spiral notebook, or when he'd share one of his famous outrageously false anecdotes, like the time he met John Lee Hooker at a bar, or how his colorblindness made him an invaluable asset to the army during the Vietnam War. Ol' Philip Snider seems to qualify, though. Like Rick, I don't hate Christians. I have, however, run out of reasons to tolerate and excuse their religious-borne bigotry and ignorance. People like Snider and the late, unlamented Rev. Falwell need to take their heads out of their asses (and the Bible, assuming there's a difference) and start to face reality. Not everyone, Schooly.
